About the role#
This position supports radiographic imaging procedures under the supervision of a technologist. You will work on-site in a casual capacity to assist with technical procedures and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select technical parameters to perform imaging.
- Assist physicians during imaging procedures.
- Complete documentation for billing, regulatory requirements, and image distribution.
- Follow radiation protection and safety standards.
- Help the Radiology Technologist by attending to patient needs and keeping the department stocked with supplies.
- Assist with the preparation of contrast media or medications within your scope of practice.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a radiology technologist program in good standing.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
