About the role#
This is a casual internship position for a Radiology Technologist. You will perform radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level while working under the supervision of a technologist. This role requires independent judgment and initiative to complete technical tasks.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select accurate anatomic and technical parameters for imaging.
- Prepare for and assist physicians during imaging procedures.
- Complete all required documentation, including regulatory filings, billing protocols, and image distribution.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Support the Radiology Technologist by documenting clinical information and attending to patient needs.
- Maintain supplies to keep the department running efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of contrast media or medications within your scope of practice.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a radiology technologist program with good standing.
- A commitment to following all ethical and legal standards.
- Ability to handle confidential information according to HIPAA and data security guidelines.
