About the role#
This position provides an opportunity to perform radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a technologist. You will exercise independent judgment and initiative while assisting with various technical procedures based on your documented level of competency.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select accurate anatomic and technical parameters for imaging.
- Prepare for and assist physicians during imaging procedures.
- Complete all required documentation, including regulatory filings, billing protocols, and image distribution.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Support the Radiology Technologist by attending to patient needs, expediting patient flow, and recording clinical information.
- Maintain adequate supplies to ensure efficient department operations.
- Assist in the preparation of contrast media or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- Commitment to adhering to all ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA and data security guidelines.
