About the role#
The Radiology Technologist Intern provides support for radiographic imaging procedures under the supervision of a technologist. This casual position requires the ability to perform technical procedures with independent judgment and initiative while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select accurate anatomic and technical parameters for imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians during imaging and prepare contrast media or medications within the accepted scope of practice.
- Complete necessary documentation, including regulatory filings, billing protocols, and image distribution.
- Implement and maintain radiation protection and safety standards.
- Support the Radiology Technologist by managing patient comfort, expediting patient flow, and recording clinical information.
- Maintain adequate supply levels to ensure efficient department operations.
