About the role#
This is a paid, full-time structural engineering internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site for approximately 12 weeks, starting on or before June 1, 2027, and concluding in mid-August. This position provides exposure to professional structural engineering projects and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Perform structural engineering calculations.
- Assist with the design of building systems.
- Research technical design considerations and building code requirements.
- Analyze project data including reports, drawings, specifications, and testing results.
- Use structural analysis and design software to support project tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers and various project teams.
- Participate in site visits and construction observations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Architectural or Civil Engineering.
- An emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Current status as a junior or higher in an undergraduate program, or enrollment in a graduate program.
- Knowledge of structural analysis software.
- Understanding of reinforced concrete and steel design principles.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in sustainable and collaborative design solutions.
