About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2027 season. You will join our team in Madison, Wisconsin, to gain firsthand experience in building performance engineering. The internship lasts approximately 12 weeks, starting on or before June 1, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist licensed professionals with engineering designs and construction documents.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and technical analysis to support project teams.
- Research building codes, standards, and regulations for specific assignments.
- Review drawings, reports, and test results to aid in design and planning.
- Build skills in Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software tools.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers on project deliverables.
- Attend project meetings to learn about the design and construction process.
- Visit construction sites to observe field conditions and project implementation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A desire to learn in a collaborative environment.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
