About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will join our integrated design team in Omaha. You will support the design of structural systems for new construction and building renovation projects. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 18 through August 6, 2027. You will participate in our Emerging Professional Experience program, which includes project work, mentorship, and weekly learning sessions.
What you'll do#
- Work with a licensed engineer on structural system designs.
- Attend design team meetings and observe coordination across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Assist with the design and development of construction documents using Revit.
- Coordinate structural design requirements with architects and other disciplines.
- Visit an active construction site.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering program.
- Experience or interest in BIM workflows, specifically Autodesk Revit.
- Preferred: Third-year student status in an accredited engineering program.
- Preferred: Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Preferred: Interest in architectural building design.

Location & details#
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
- Modality: This role is on-site and hybrid. Our office follows a four-day in-office model with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
