About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join our integrated design team to support projects ranging from new construction to building renovations. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside licensed engineers and collaborating with professionals across architecture, interiors, and other disciplines. This role is part of our Emerging Professional Experience program, which includes mentorship, project work, and weekly learning sessions.
What you'll do#
- Work with a licensed engineer to design mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Attend design team meetings to observe how multi-disciplinary teams coordinate.
- Assist with the design and development of construction documents, primarily using Revit.
- Develop designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems from concept through completion.
- Visit an active construction site to see projects in progress.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one year at an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program.
- Experience or interest in BIM workflows, such as Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Preference is given to third-year students.
- Preference is given to those who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Preference is given to those with an interest in architectural building design.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- This is a paid, full-time internship running from May 18 through August 6, 2027.
- Positions are available in Dallas, Texas, and Houston, Texas.
- This is an on-site role.
