About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern in our Dallas studio, you will join our integrated design team to work on structural systems for new construction and building renovations. You will participate in the Emerging Professional Experience (EPX) Program, which includes mentorship, project work, and weekly learning sessions. This is a paid, full-time position running from May 18 through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design structural systems while working alongside a licensed engineer.
- Develop construction documents, primarily using Revit.
- Attend design team meetings to observe how a multi-disciplinary team coordinates projects.
- Coordinate structural requirements with architecture and other disciplines.
- Visit an active construction site.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year at an ABET-accredited Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering program.
- Experience or interest in BIM workflows, such as Autodesk Revit.
- Interest in architectural building design.
- Preference is given to third-year students and those who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Dallas, Texas.
- You are expected to participate for the full duration of the summer term.
