About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern in our Charlotte studio, you will join our integrated design team for the summer of 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside licensed engineers on electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects. This role is part of our Emerging Professional Experience program, which focuses on mentorship, project work, and professional development within the architecture and engineering industry.
What you'll do#
- Design electrical systems for building projects under the guidance of a licensed engineer.
- Attend design team meetings and observe how a multi-disciplinary team coordinates their work.
- Assist with the creation and development of construction documents using Revit.
- Visit an active construction site to see the design process in action.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
- Experience or a strong interest in BIM workflows, specifically Autodesk Revit MEP.
- A passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred.
- An interest in architectural building design is preferred.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a four-day in-office model.
