About the role#
As a Landscape Architecture Intern, you will join an integrated design team to help create outdoor environments and site experiences. You will work alongside landscape architects, engineers, and interior designers on projects of varying sizes and types. This role is part of our Emerging Professional Experience program, which provides mentorship, hands-on project work, and weekly learning sessions. You will gain experience across the full design process, from early concepts and site planning to documentation and construction administration.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with design team members throughout the integrated design process.
- Develop skills in design tools including Revit, Land FX, Civil3D CAD, Enscape, Lumion, SketchUp, and proprietary firm tools.
- Create presentation materials using SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Participate in project and site meetings to support effective communication.
- Gain an understanding of construction documentation and project processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture degree program.
- Completion of at least 3 years of design education before the internship begins.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino, or similar design software is preferred.
- Strong visual, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
- Previous internship or commercial design experience.
- Familiarity with Mural visual collaboration software.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Locations: Dallas, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Overland Park, KS; Phoenix, AZ.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 18 through August 6, 2027).
- Status: Paid, full-time position.
- Modality: On-site and hybrid. We follow a four-day in-office model with Friday flexibility.
