About the role#
As a Reporting & Analytics Intern, you will join our Reporting, Analytics & Data Automation team in Dallas. You will work alongside analysts, data scientists, and business leaders to turn complex operational and corporate data into actionable insights. This role focuses on solving business problems by building dashboards, automating manual processes, and communicating findings to various teams across the company.
What you'll do#
- Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards to help leaders track KPIs and spot trends.
- Use SQL, Excel, Power Query, and DAX to clean, join, and organize data from multiple business systems.
- Apply analytical and statistical thinking to large datasets to identify patterns and test assumptions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their questions and define project success.
- Present your work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support our efforts in data automation, self-service analytics, and AI-assisted reporting.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business, analytics, information systems, or a related field.
- Coursework, projects, or personal experience involving data analysis or problem solving with data.
- Working proficiency in Excel.
- A willingness to learn Power BI, SQL, and Power Query.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Preference is given to candidates with exposure to Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modeling), SQL for joins and validation, Microsoft 365 tools (Power Apps, Power Automate), and an interest in the energy industry.
