About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Dallas, Texas. You will work within the Internal Audit department to support routine auditing assignments under direct supervision. The role requires an on-site presence and involves up to 20% travel by land and air. You may visit refinery or warehouse environments, which requires wearing personal protective equipment and adhering to safety standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team in conducting financial and operational risk-based audits.
- Maintain documentation for process-related controls, including flowcharts and matrices.
- Help test internal controls over financial reporting to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Perform routine audit fieldwork.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelors Degree in internal audit, accounting, or finance.
- An entry-level understanding of GAAP, finance concepts, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid drivers license and the ability to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 20 lbs and climb up to 40 ft.
