About the role#
FJ Management is looking for an intern to join our Internal Audit team. You will work alongside auditors and our Data Analytics & Automation team on real business engagements. This role balances direct audit support with projects designed to improve how our team uses AI. You will help identify repetitive tasks, build and test AI-assisted workflows, and help the team adopt new tools. We are interested in how you approach problems, use available resources, and determine the reliability of your findings.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning and performing audits, including identifying risks and evaluating controls.
- Draft walkthrough documentation and risk and control matrices.
- Use AI tools to convert meeting and interview transcripts into structured records.
- Reconcile process information to identify gaps or inconsistencies.
- Analyze business data to test controls and identify trends or exceptions.
- Organize evidence and document work performed to support audit findings.
- Design and test AI-assisted approaches for repetitive audit steps.
- Develop and maintain a library of reusable audit prompts.
- Validate AI-generated work against source evidence.
- Organize information into a structured knowledge base.
- Support advisory projects to help business teams design AI-assisted workflows.
- Protect confidential information and follow company AI use policies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in any field.
- Hands-on experience using AI or LLM tools to complete meaningful work.
- Ability to commit to approximately 20 hours per week.
- Coursework in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, or ACL is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting, low-code tools, or version control like Git is helpful.
- Experience organizing data, researching unfamiliar topics, or improving processes is preferred.
