About the role#
HF Sinclair is hiring a Business Analytics Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Dallas, Texas. You will work under close supervision to support the Branded Marketing organization. The role involves performing operational and financial analysis, preparing market reports, and assisting the Sales, Operations, Brand, and Pricing departments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with monthly operational analysis for scorecard key performance indicators.
- Review and audit branded retail station project economics.
- Analyze the premium fuel market to identify opportunities.
- Develop metrics to rank and identify top distributor qualities.
- Create regional key performance indicators.
- Build management reports using data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Complete special assignments as directed by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in business or a related field with some completed coursework.
- Strong business acumen and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and determine alternative actions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Preferred: Excel modeling, Tableau, Power BI, SQL proficiency, and statistical analysis.
