About the role#
As a VLSI Engineer Intern, you will gain exposure to the entire VLSI design process, including system integration, circuit design, and verification. You will work alongside a qualified ASIC team to learn the design lifecycle and contribute to verification projects.
What you'll do#
- Analyze design specifications to understand system requirements.
- Collaborate with architecture and RTL designers to verify design functionality.
- Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Implement test benches and generate directed or constrained random tests.
- Run and triage regressions while tracking bugs.
- Assist in verification flows and the development of automation scripts.
- Communicate with management regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, VLSI principles, digital logic, and computer architecture.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming fundamentals.
- Proficiency with hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Experience with electronic design automation (EDA) or FPGA tools.
- Coursework focusing on VLSI design or related concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mastery of English and your local language with good written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Spring, Texas, United States.
- Modality: This is a hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week in the office.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: Hourly rate of $35.00 - $41.00 USD.
