About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join a project team to build reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality software solutions. You will work on various systems, including operating systems, databases, networking tools, and compilers. This role is a full-time, paid internship that offers exposure to professional software development processes within a collaborative team environment.
What you'll do#
- Write and update code for system software enhancements and new product features.
- Run established test plans and protocols to ensure code quality.
- Log, track, and debug assigned software issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external development partners to support project goals.
- Apply technical concepts and theoretical knowledge to solve low to moderately complex product challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Understanding of software systems design tools and programming languages.
- Familiarity with design principles for software running on multiple platform types.
- Knowledge of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

This is a hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office. You may be based in one of the following locations:
