About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience within the Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Gift marketing team. You will support the promotion of inspirational books, devotionals, and gift products. The role offers exposure to the full publishing process, including campaign planning, digital marketing, and public relations. You will work alongside a collaborative team to support fall book launches and holiday season projects.
What you'll do#
- Implement direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns across email, social media, and web channels.
- Draft and edit marketing copy, including social media captions, blog posts, and promotional materials.
- Create shareable social media content and basic marketing assets.
- Support the planning and execution of book launches, seasonal promotions, and evergreen products.
- Research influencers, media outlets, audience trends, and competitive titles.
- Develop media kits, press materials, and media lists.
- Assist with promotional mailings and the distribution of materials.
- Compile and analyze marketing data to identify campaign insights.
- Attend team and cross-functional meetings to learn how Marketing, Sales, and Editorial departments collaborate.
- Develop a marketing campaign proposal focused on reaching younger consumers.
- Provide general project and administrative support, including proofreading and organization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or master’s program in business, communications, English, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- Availability to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 7 to August 12, 2027.
- Status as a rising senior, recent graduate, or master’s student with up to 1 year of work experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills.
- Ability to translate data results into marketing insights.
- Basic understanding of the Christian faith.
- Basic understanding of social media and digital marketing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A resume and cover letter addressed to the Hiring Team are required for consideration.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Nashville, Tennessee.
- The role is hybrid, with mandatory in-office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remote work on Mondays and Thursdays.
- The internship is paid at $18 per hour.
