About the role#
This internship with the Adult and Children’s Library Marketing team offers a view into how publishers collaborate with the library market. You will work alongside Sales, Publicity, and Trade Marketing departments across all HarperCollins US imprints. This role is suited for someone who is creative, organized, and interested in both adult and children’s book markets.
What you'll do#
- Create presentation decks for internal and external meetings.
- Coordinate events and marketing promotions for national library conferences.
- Develop social media content, track performance, and advise the team on current trends.
- Perform light design work to support marketing initiatives.
- Maintain databases for reviews, awards, and promotional materials.
- Provide general team support, including content planning and website updates.
- Attend seasonal and recurring team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or master’s program.
- Up to 1 year of work experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and content creation tools like TikTok, CapCut, and Canva.
- Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and Threads.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Sprout is a plus.
- A passion for books, publishing, and marketing.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in New York, NY.
- You must be available to work 21 hours per week across 3 or 4 days.
- The internship runs from February 8, 2027, to April 16, 2027.
- This is a paid position.
