    About the role#

    The Corporate Communications team at HarperCollins Publishers shapes our voice across internal communications, public relations, social media, and corporate events. We partner with senior leadership across our divisions and imprints to reach employees and the public. This internship offers a look at how a global publisher communicates its story.

    What you'll do#

    • Write content for the company intranet, newsletters, and internal memos.
    • Draft press releases, build media lists, and monitor coverage for campaigns.
    • Develop and schedule content for our corporate LinkedIn channels and track post performance.
    • Design basic graphic assets in Canva for announcements and social initiatives.
    • Write congratulatory letters to authors who reach the New York Times bestseller list.
    • Research and write projects that spotlight company milestones and authors.
    • Assist with content planning, special projects, and daily team support.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or master's program.
    • Status as a rising senior, recent graduate, or entry level candidate with up to 1 year of experience.
    • Strong writing, proofreading, and copyediting skills with high attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and handle tasks with professionalism.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with familiarity using LinkedIn and Canva.
    • Interest in communications, journalism, English, or related fields, and a genuine love for books.
    • Authorization to work in the United States.
    • Submission of a resume and a cover letter addressed to Hiring Team.

    Location & details#

    • Location: New York, NY.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to August 12).
    • Schedule: On-site Monday through Thursday, 28 hours per week.
    • Compensation: $18 per hour.
