About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic in Sarasota. This is a full-time position for individuals pursuing clinical experience in mental health. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnose conditions, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of counseling and psychotherapy.
- Teach patients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services in accordance with company policies.
What you'll need#
- A master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Sarasota, Florida.
- Modality: On-site with options for telehealth.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person visits, with telehealth availability Friday through Sunday.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Benefits: Includes group malpractice insurance and administrative support.
