About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic network. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor, offering both in-person and telehealth care. This position is paid at a rate of $35 to $40 per billable hour and includes group malpractice insurance, administrative support, and access to digital health technology.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, determine diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
- Utilize multiple modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in accordance with company policies.
- Pursue continuing education to stay current with advancements in the field.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Preferred experience working in an outpatient clinical setting.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Work Modality: This position is on-site with the option to work 50% via telemedicine. Telemedicine availability extends to Friday through Sunday, while physical offices are open Monday through Thursday.
- Schedule: As an independent contractor, you determine your own working hours.
