Psychotherapist Intern Outpatient Clinic

About the role#

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient mental health clinic. This role involves delivering comprehensive mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to determine your own working hours, utilizing both in-person and telehealth platforms.

What you'll do#

• Conduct psychological assessments, establish diagnoses, and implement therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions.
• Deliver diverse modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Preferred experience working in an outpatient clinical setting.

Location & details#

• Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
• Modality: On-site and remote (telemedicine).
• Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. There is an option to work 50% remotely from the start of employment.
• Compensation: $35 - $40 per billable hour.
