About the role#

What you'll do#
Interns work under supervision to learn and perform daily clinic operations, including:
- Managing professional phone communications and patient scheduling.
- Utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems using MEDENT.
- Handling patient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Overseeing patient flow and the waiting area.
- Maintaining professionalism, discretion, and strict patient confidentiality.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as faxing, copying, and filing.
- Learning the basics of medical terminology, insurance billing, and HIPAA compliance.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a high school graduate.
- No prior healthcare or office experience is required.
- Ability to commit to a consistent schedule of at least 20 hours per week, with 10-hour work days.
- Must pass a basic screening, including a background check and a drug test.
- Pursuing or interested in fields such as Psychology, Public Health, or Health Administration.
