About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above. You will operate as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own working hours, including options for both in-person and telehealth appointments.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions for a range of mental health conditions.
- Utilize various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in accordance with company policies.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

- Location: Port Charlotte, Florida.
- Modality: On-site and remote options available.
- Schedule: Rolling term, full-time independent contractor status.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
