Psychotherapist Intern Outpatient Clinic

About the role#

Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. This is a full-time, paid position operating under an independent contractor arrangement with a rolling start date.

What you'll do#

• Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for a variety of mental health conditions.
• Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services in compliance with company policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• An active Florida Intern license or to be in the process of obtaining one.
• Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Port Charlotte, Florida.
• Work Modality: This role supports both on-site and remote work. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. There is an option to work 50% remotely from the start of employment.
• Compensation: $35 - $40 per billable hour.
