About the role#
This is a part-time, temporary internship designed to support your educational goals. You will work at least 24 hours per academic week, though this is negotiable based on your specific academic requirements. You will receive clinical and administrative supervision as required by your graduate program and your appointment letter.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct services to clients as permitted by agency policies and procedures.
- Conduct assessments to identify the presence or absence of clinically significant behavioral health issues.
- Create a global assessment of strengths and needs, including psychosocial evaluations.
- Develop and initiate individualized treatment plans.
- Document session content through clear, narrative reports.
- Manage a daily practitioner schedule and coordinate with community resources.
- Handle consumer termination and after-care planning when treatment goals are met or services are no longer necessary.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a behavioral health graduate program at an accredited university.
- Completion of all graduate coursework related to behavioral health assessment, diagnostics, professional ethics, and treatment theory.
- Endorsement from an interview team.
- A valid driver license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
- A passing score on the structured clinical practitioner interview.
