About the role#
This is a part-time, temporary internship at the Center for Specialized Children's Services. The role is goal-focused and educationally related. Interns work at least 24 hours per week, though this is negotiable based on academic requirements. You will receive clinical and administrative supervision as required by your graduate program.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct and community services to FRBH clients.
- Conduct point-in-time assessments and construct global assessments of strengths and needs.
- Create and maintain relationships with community resources.
- Develop, initiate, and modify individualized treatment plans.
- Document encounters with behavioral health consumers.
- Manage a typical daily practitioner schedule.
- Recognize when a consumer's needs exceed your current skills and seek appropriate guidance.
- Manage the termination process and construct termination summaries.
- Demonstrate professional ethics and sound judgment.
- Complete the FRBH Structured Clinical Practitioner Interview with a passing score.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a behavioral health graduate program at an accredited university.
- Completed coursework in behavioral health assessment, diagnostics, professional ethics, and treatment theory.
- Endorsement from an interview team.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
