About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic. This is a full-time position for Summer 2026, offering both remote and on-site work options. Interns will operate as independent contractors with the flexibility to determine their own working hours. The clinic provides comprehensive mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with various mental health conditions.
- Deliver a range of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered in accordance with company policies.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Work Modality: Remote and on-site options available.
- Compensation: Paid position at $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
