About the role#
Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center offers clinical internship and practicum placements for students pursuing graduate degrees. You will work with child and adult clients in outpatient settings, schools, homes, or the community. The program features supervision focused on building reflective capacity with staff recognized by the Minnesota Board of Social Work and the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
What you'll do#
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for clients.
- Participate in integrated treatment planning.
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions.
- Facilitate group therapy.
- Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings.
- Manage clinical documentation using electronic health record systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master of Social Work or Clinical Counseling Master’s program.
- Ability to perform comprehensive evaluations.
- Experience or training in individual and family therapy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
