About the role#
Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is seeking graduate-level interns for our Waltham Community Based Services site. This role supports youth and families through in-home and community-based services designed to protect, preserve, and reunify families. Interns work as part of a clinical team while maintaining autonomy in the field. We offer a learning environment that includes individual and group supervision, training, and CEUs. This is a paid internship for students in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
What you'll do#
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment goals.
- Provide case management and advocacy services, including transportation to appointments.
- Co-facilitate activity-based groups for youth through the Department of Mental Health.
- Participate in agency-wide initiatives such as Motivational Interviewing, ARC, and Courageous Conversations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate program, with preference given to final-year students.
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable car.
- Permission from your school to transport clients.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including at least two evenings per week.
- Commitment to a minimum of 20 to 24 hours per week, including Tuesdays.
