About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic in Gainesville. This is a paid, full-time position for individuals pursuing licensure in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnose conditions, and provide therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various psychotherapy and counseling services to patients.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Document services rendered according to company policies.
- Maintain your clinical knowledge through continuing education.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Gainesville, Florida.
- Modality: On-site with options for telehealth.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
