About the role#
This internship at Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute provides hands-on experience in a clinical proton therapy environment. You will work directly with our medical physics team to support patient care and equipment maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Perform patient-specific parts quality assurance.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual machine quality assurance.
- Participate in clinical activities guided by the AAPM Task Group 224 Report.
- Prepare and deliver a PowerPoint presentation at the end of your internship to discuss your projects, skills developed, and professional takeaways.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Major in Physics.
- Proof of good academic standing.
- A copy of your current academic class schedule.
- A recent resume and cover letter.
