About the role#
The Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute is hiring a Marketing Intern to join our team. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Hampton, Virginia. The internship term is rolling.
What you'll do#
- Research, outline, and design marketing materials for fundraising initiatives.
- Research social media best practices within the healthcare space, including what other proton therapy centers are promoting.
- Serve as a project coordinator and data analyst by pulling cancer-related statistics, focusing on demographics and national versus Virginia data.
- Present your findings to the Marketing team and the Executive Director at the end of the program.
- Help develop graphics, videos, and other promotional content for digital platforms.
- Provide administrative support, including the organization of marketing materials.
- Create and deliver a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation at the end of your program to discuss your projects, skills developed, and overall experience.
What you'll need#
- Proof of current enrollment in a program of study or status as a recent graduate (within 12 months) from an accredited college, university, or technical institution.
- Proof of good academic standing, such as unofficial transcripts.
- A copy of your academic class schedule.
- A recent resume or cover letter.
- A course syllabus if you are applying for academic credit.
