About the role#
The Student Nurse Care Partner works within a float pool to provide patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN. This per diem role involves supporting diverse patient populations by addressing their physical, safety, and psychosocial needs while maintaining a clean and organized care environment.
What you'll do#
- Participate in direct patient care, including hygiene assistance, feeding, mobility support, and range of motion exercises.
- Perform and record vital signs, intake and output, and patient activities.
- Assist with clinical tasks such as simple dressing changes, specimen collection, EKG performance, and removal of peripheral IV catheters.
- Provide 1:1 observation for patients requiring safety monitoring.
- Transport patients, equipment, and blood products as needed.
- Maintain a safe and tidy environment, manage patient belongings, and ensure proper storage of medical equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff and respond to call bells promptly.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a licensed nurse education program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to use telephones and computer systems effectively.

- Compensation: $17.34 - $24.32 per hour.
