About the role#
The Student Dietary Associate supports the food and nutrition team by providing meal services to patients and staff. This is a per diem, on-site position based in Binghamton, New York, suitable for students pursuing studies in Nutrition, Public Health, Health Administration, or Biomedical Sciences.
What you'll do#
- Prepare assembly line stations for patient supper tray service.
- Assemble food items for patient trays based on marked menus.
- Transport food carts to and from patient floors safely and efficiently.
- Scrape, wash, and sanitize dishware from patient trays and the employee cafeteria.
- Scrub and sanitize pots and pans while maintaining organized storage areas.
- Collect and transport waste from dietary and cafeteria areas to disposal sites.
- Follow department policies and procedures while utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure safety.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least sixteen years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand written and oral communication.
- While previous experience is helpful, it is not required for this role.
