About the role#
The Student Dietary Associate supports the food and nutrition team by ensuring high-quality food service for patients, employees, and staff. This position is open to students currently pursuing studies in Nutrition, Health Administration, or Public Health.
What you'll do#
- Prepare the assembly line station for patient supper tray service.
- Assemble food items for patient trays based on marked menus.
- Transport food carts to and from patient floors safely.
- Collect and dispose of waste from dietary and cafeteria areas.
- Clean and sanitize dishware, pots, and pans according to department procedures.
- Use proper body mechanics to maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least sixteen years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand both written and oral communication.
- While previous experience is helpful, it is not required.
