About the role#
Pharmacy Interns perform professional functions associated with the practice of pharmacy. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. This role involves maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring high standards of pharmaceutical care for patients.
What you'll do#
- Perform pharmacy functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Manage order processing and drug distribution.
- Conduct clinical evaluations and provide drug information.
- Handle inventory control tasks.
- Perform IV compounding.
- Assist as a pharmacy technician or inventory control clerk when needed.
- Assess patient status and identify pharmaceutical care requirements across acute and ambulatory or home infusion settings.
What you'll need#
- A valid limited intern permit to practice pharmacy in the state of practice.
- Ability to perform all pharmacy functions under supervision.
- Competency in acute and ambulatory or home infusion patient care.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance standards, including federal and state standards regarding fraud and abuse prevention.
- Prior experience in institutional pharmacy is preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Nursing.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Per diem, rolling term.
- Compensation: $17.00 - $22.82 per hour.
