About the role#
Pharmacy Interns perform professional functions associated with the practice of pharmacy under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Interns must demonstrate growth in knowledge required to interpret patient data and provide appropriate pharmaceutical care in accordance with institutional policies and federal and state standards.
What you'll do#
- Perform pharmacy functions including order processing, clinical evaluations, and inventory control.
- Provide drug information and manage drug distribution.
- Assist with IV compounding.
- Support the department by working as a pharmacy technician or inventory control clerk when needed.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory compliance standards and assist in preventing fraud and abuse.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years of general education requirements.
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Current NY State Pharmacy Intern License in good standing.
- Prior experience in institutional pharmacy is preferred.

- Pay: $17.00 - $22.82 per hour.
