About the role#
Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Recruiting Intern to join the Human Resources team. This role offers hands-on experience with talent acquisition processes. You will work alongside recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to support hiring initiatives and daily administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support the recruiting team with daily talent acquisition initiatives.
- Schedule interviews and manage logistics between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for open roles.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and data within applicant tracking systems.
- Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and interest.
- Assist in the planning and execution of recruiting events, career fairs, and interview days.
- Support onboarding activities and new hire orientation preparation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a preference for sophomore or junior students.
- A strong interest in Human Resources, recruiting, or talent acquisition.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize work effectively.
- Availability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year.
- Majors in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Communications.
