About the role#
The Internal Audit Department is looking for an IT Audit Intern to join the team for the Summer or Fall 2027 semesters. You will help safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of records for Great American Insurance Group and its subsidiaries. This role involves participating in audits of applications, operating systems, and platforms while gaining exposure to the internal audit process.
What you'll do#
- Conduct internal audit engagements across company subsidiaries.
- Assist with IT audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews to evaluate IT infrastructure.
- Attend process walkthroughs to identify and test automated controls and system security.
- Gather data, document areas of concern, and help draft reports on findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior auditors and external audit partners on IT matters.
- Work with team members to design and implement automation solutions to improve audit efficiency.
- Participate in the Summer Intern Program to meet with company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Data Science, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- A minimum GPA of 3.25.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with business systems, technology concepts, and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to solve problems of moderate complexity and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- This position is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a paid internship requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Scheduling is flexible to align with your university semester.
