About the role#
The Risk Management & Insurance Internship Program offers an introduction to the property and casualty insurance industry. You will work within a commercial specialty insurance carrier to gain practical business experience and industry knowledge. This is an underwriting-focused internship that runs for 10 weeks from late May through early August.
What you'll do#
- Work within a specific business unit on day-to-day assignments.
- Complete a special project in areas such as underwriting, research, or product development.
- Connect with professionals across various functions to understand the organization.
- Participate in networking events, educational sessions, and professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Junior standing with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities, campus involvement, co-ops, or previous work experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, planning, and communication skills.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
