About the role#
The Manufacturing Automation team at the Fab 9 site in Essex Junction, Vermont, is looking for a summer intern to support factory operations. You will work with the team responsible for automation equipment and mobile robotics platforms. This role focuses on the development and improvement of factory systems to support our semiconductor manufacturing goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, assembly, and integration of automated and robotic manufacturing cells.
- Help prepare manufacturing cells for future automation requirements.
- Evaluate and improve existing or future automated equipment.
- Lead specific improvement projects within the manufacturing environment.
- Perform all work tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
What you'll need#
- You must be a junior at the time of application, actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Prior related internship or co-op experience is preferred.
