About the role#
GlobalFoundries is seeking a Junior Equipment Engineering Intern for our Fab 9 location in Essex Junction, Vermont. This role focuses on sustaining and operating the fab floor by resolving equipment and process issues. You will lead an intern project to completion and present your results at an end of year poster session.
What you'll do#
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to support throughput.
- Collaborate with integration and process engineering teams.
- Define and maintain equipment installation process qualifications and roadmaps.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize equipment performance, yield, and reliability.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner while following environmental, health, and safety programs.
What you'll need#
- Junior standing at the time of application.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
