About the role#
The RF/mm-Wave Reference Design Team is seeking a motivated student for a Fall 2026 internship. This role focuses on solving complex circuit problems and contributing to the design and tape-out of reference circuits on internal test chips and multi-project wafers.
What you'll do#
- Design and tape-out mm-Wave reference circuits.
- Use industry-standard design tools for schematic design, physical layout, parasitic extractions, and both pre- and post-layout simulations.
- Conduct Electro-Magnetic (EM) simulations and perform circuit optimizations to meet specific performance requirements.
- Collaborate with design leads on multiple concurrent projects.
- Support all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements and programs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of transistor-level circuit design.
- Knowledge and experience with RF/mm-Wave circuit design.
- Proficiency with Cadence-based EDA tools.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Fluency in written and verbal English.
