About the role#
GlobalFoundries is seeking a Process & Equipment Engineering intern for our 300mm factory in Malta, New York. This role supports the engineering team in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will work alongside engineers, technicians, and production staff to improve equipment performance and process reliability.
What you'll do#
- Reduce variability in process recovery procedures.
- Identify methods to detect production problems earlier.
- Standardize processes across similar equipment types.
- Improve techniques used to measure process performance.
- Lead specific improvement projects and present your findings to the team.
- Follow all safety, health, and security requirements while performing your tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
