About the role#
This student worker position at Middle Tennessee State University involves supporting food service operations. You will gain experience in a professional kitchen environment while developing customer service and operational skills. This role is a full-time opportunity for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to company standards.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and maintain guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food stock to ensure appropriate levels.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment as required.
