About the role#
This position supports the Computer Science department by managing daily office operations and overseeing undergraduate student staff. You will help maintain the workspace, handle sensitive documents, and coordinate logistics for department events. This is an on-site role based in the Hankamer and Cashion Academic Centers at Baylor University.
What you'll do#
- Review Computer Science classrooms and kitchens to ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Train and coach undergraduate student workers, including checking their work for completion.
- Meet with undergraduate student workers once a month to discuss their needs or concerns.
- Order department supplies through the Ignite program twice a month and ensure they arrive at the correct location.
- Assist with the setup, preparation, and cleanup for ceremonies, meetings, and lunches.
- Greet guests and students, provide directions, and answer questions.
- Handle confidential documents through mailing, copying, scanning, and shredding.
- Help the Office Manager or Graduate Program Coordinator with special projects each month.
- Cover shifts for undergraduate student workers when they are unable to work.
What you'll need#
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Capability to handle documents with strict confidentiality.
- Commitment to following all University policies.
- Note: Students currently enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Science Fellows, Cybersecurity, Bioinformatics, or Data Science courses are not eligible for this role due to the confidential nature of the work.

- Work Modality: On-site at the Hankamer and Cashion Academic Centers.
