About the role#
This Student Worker position provides essential administrative and office support within the Baylor Sciences and Facilities department. The role requires a commitment of 10 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is a paid position for the Summer 2026 term with the potential for ongoing employment.
What you'll do#
- Perform general office duties including filing, tracking information, and submitting work orders.
- Greet and assist faculty, staff, students, and visitors, including answering and screening phone calls.
- Maintain files and reports while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive materials.
- Assist with shared space maintenance and various departmental projects as requested.
- Comply with all University policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer software, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word, and standard office equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general clerical procedures.
- Ability to maintain professional conduct and confidentiality.
- Majors in Business Administration or Communications are preferred.
