Student Worker - BSB Office Assistant - BC

About the role#

This Student Worker position provides essential administrative and office support within the Baylor Sciences and Facilities department. The role requires a commitment of 10 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is a paid position for the Summer 2026 term with the potential for ongoing employment.

What you'll do#

• Perform general office duties including filing, tracking information, and submitting work orders.
• Greet and assist faculty, staff, students, and visitors, including answering and screening phone calls.
• Maintain files and reports while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive materials.
• Assist with shared space maintenance and various departmental projects as requested.
• Comply with all University policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.

What you'll need#

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer software, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word, and standard office equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general clerical procedures.
• Ability to maintain professional conduct and confidentiality.
• Majors in Business Administration or Communications are preferred.
