About the role#
The Baylor Sciences and Facilities department is seeking a Student Worker to provide administrative support within the Baylor Science Building. This is a part-time, paid position for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide general office assistance, including filing, tracking information, and submitting work orders.
- Greet visitors, faculty, and students, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries.
- Screen and answer phone calls.
- Maintain files and reports while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive materials.
- Assist with shared space maintenance and various projects as requested by the supervisor.
- Comply with all University policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as general office equipment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of general clerical procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Baylor Science Building, 101 Bagby Ave, Waco, TX.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Pay Rate: $8.00 per hour.
