About the role#
As a Tier 1 Information Security Intern, you will serve as a triage specialist within the Information Security Services department. You will assist personnel in the analysis, remediation, and monitoring of network intrusions while gaining hands-on experience with security tools to identify and address potential threats.
What you'll do#
- Monitor security events and alerts generated by the SIEM and other security tools.
- Conduct Level 1 triage of incoming issues, including assessing priority and determining risk.
- Review alerts escalated by end users.
- Perform limited incident response for low-complexity security incidents.
- Maintain an assigned ticket queue and participate in the resolution process, even after escalation.
- Assist with various projects and tasks related to business operations.

- Ability to comply with all University policies and procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
- Enrollment in a relevant field such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or Data Science.
