About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a Student Worker to serve as a Ticketing Desk Associate at the Mayborn Museum. This position is for the summer of 2026, with the potential for ongoing employment based on performance. You will be the first point of contact for museum visitors and help with daily administrative operations.
What you'll do#
- Welcome visitors as they arrive at the museum.
- Answer incoming phone calls and help callers with their questions.
- Process ticket sales for general admission, special classes, and museum memberships.
- Manage and reconcile cash register transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Provide general office support, including file maintenance and report organization.
- Ensure all work follows University policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to prioritizing daily tasks.
- Open availability throughout the summer, including weekends.
- A commitment to professionalism and University standards.
- Majors in Business Administration or Communications are preferred.
Location & details#
- The role is based on-site at the Mayborn Museum in Waco, Texas.
- This is a paid, part-time position.
- You must be able to work at least ten hours per week. Shifts are available Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Sundays from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
