Student Worker - Summer Mayborn Museum Ticketing Desk Associate - BC

About the role#

The Mayborn Museum is seeking a Student Worker to serve as a Ticketing Desk Associate. This role is a customer-facing position responsible for the front desk operations and providing a welcoming experience for all museum visitors.

What you'll do#

• Greet and welcome visitors to the museum.
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries.
• Process ticket sales for admission, classes, and memberships.
• Manage and reconcile cash register transactions accurately.
• Provide general office assistance, maintain files, and assist with various projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• A proactive mindset.
• Open availability, including weekends and throughout the summer.
• Ability to maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
• Currently enrolled student, preferably in Business Administration or Communications.

Location & details#

• Location: Mayborn Museum, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week, with shifts available Monday through Friday between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Sundays from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
