About the role#
This Student Worker position provides administrative support within the Baylor Science Building. The role is designed for students in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Psychology who are looking to gain office experience during the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide general office assistance, including filing, tracking information, and submitting work orders.
- Greet clients, faculty, staff, and visitors, answering inquiries and providing information with a focus on customer service.
- Manage and maintain files and reports while ensuring the confidentiality of all materials.
- Assist with various projects, activities, and shared space maintenance as requested.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to complete daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer office software and common office equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance and comply with university policies.
Location & details#
- Location: Baylor Science Building, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Compensation: $8.00 per hour.
