About the role#
This student worker position provides administrative support within the Baylor Sciences and Facilities department. The role requires a commitment of 10 hours per week, scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a paid, on-site role for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide general office assistance including filing, tracking information, and submitting work orders.
- Greet clients, faculty, staff, students, and visitors, answering inquiries and providing information with professional customer service.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls.
- Maintain files and reports while ensuring the confidentiality of all sensitive materials.
- Assist with shared space maintenance and various projects or tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Comply with university policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as general office equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general clerical procedures.
