About the role#
The Office Assistant provides administrative and relational support to on-campus residential communities. This role serves as a resource for residents, visitors, and staff while maintaining the safety and security of the residence hall.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and notify appropriate staff, such as Community Leaders, Residence Hall Directors, or Safety and Security Education Officers, if issues arise.
- Provide administrative assistance to residents, including room access support, equipment check-out, and technical support.
- Maintain accurate log books for unlock codes, maintenance requests, equipment, lost and found, and gift registries.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding on-campus locations and support services.
- Enforce Campus Living and Learning policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one semester as a Baylor student.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and must remain in good standing at Baylor University.
- Professional, friendly, and proactive demeanor.
- Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks.

- Location: Penland Hall, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Maximum of 20 hours per week.
