Student Worker - Office Assistant

About the role#

The Office Assistant (OA) provides administrative and relational support to on-campus communities within Campus Living & Learning at Baylor University. This role serves as a key resource for residents, visitors, and staff, helping to maintain the safety, security, and daily operations of the residential community.

What you'll do#

• Monitor door security and report issues to Community Leaders, Residence Hall Directors, or Safety and Security Education Officers.
• Provide administrative support to residents, including room access assistance, equipment check-outs, and technical support.
• Maintain accurate log books for maintenance requests, equipment, lost and found items, and gift registries.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding campus locations and services.
• Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies and procedures.

What you'll need#

• Must have completed at least one semester as a Baylor student.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA to remain in the position.
• Professional, friendly, and proactive approach to customer service.
• Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
• Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility is preferred.

• Location: Penland Hall, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week.
