The Institutional Events Assistant supports the Logistics Strategist in coordinating and executing campus events at Baylor University. This role focuses on logistics for both departmental and student organizations, ensuring events run smoothly while maintaining compliance with university policies. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 12-15 hours per week during standard business hours.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate event logistics for departmental and student organizations.
- Draft event agreements and manage client communication via phone and email.
- Develop room layouts using specialized software.
- Accommodate unique event requirements and ensure adherence to campus policies.
- Assist guests and clients with professionalism and handle incoming calls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Communications, Business Administration, or Marketing.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
